    About Dr. Jacquelyn Lim

    Dr. Jacquelyn Lim was born and raised in the Bay Area, attending Faria Elementary, Kennedy Middle, and Monta Vista High School in Cupertino. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Biological Sciences at University of California Davis. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, CA. After graduating, she was excited to return home to live and work in the community she grew up in.

    Dr. Lim is a glaucoma certified optometrist and is trained in diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular diseases. She has a special interest in myopia control. Dr. Lim believes that getting to know the whole person behind the eye is important in providing comprehensive and quality eyecare. She can also perform limited exams in Spanish.

    Awards and Recognition

    Dr. Jacquelyn Lim is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the California Optometric Association (COA), and the Santa Clara County Optometric Society (SCCOS). She serves as the FOCUS newsletter editor for SCCOS. During her undergraduate career at UC Davis, Dr. Lim received awards for distinguished innovation and poverty alleviation for her work on an eye diagnostic screening tool for developing countries. Throughout optometry school, Dr. Lim served on the board for the student chapter of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) to continue her passion for helping the underserved. 

    Activities and Involvement

    In her free time, Dr. Lim enjoys spending time with her family (welcomed her daughter in early 2025), hanging out with her miniature poodle, baking, and playing tennis.
